How quickly we forget. Remember when··..

·..in December of 1990 George Bush was President, Desert Shield was in effect in the Middle East, and I wrote in my newsletter that the Dow would reach 5,000 by late 1994 or early 1995. In 1993 I wrote to "stay the course" and not focus on daily volatility. "Now is always the hardest time to invest" I wrote in 1994. In 1995 I said we would see the Dow hit 10,000 by the year 2,000.

Mark my words invest wisely and look longer range. We will see the Dow reach 16,000 by the year 2006! However, I tend to be conservative. The Dow has gone up faster than my projections. So 16,000 could be reached even earlier.

In light of current events, call me for counsel on designing a strategy for yourself. Find the tax structures that best fit your situation. Remember that I bring a whole gamut of investment alternatives plus a wide range of insurance options to you. Take advantage of our services. We are your complete financial planning resource. Just as you look after your "personal health", we can help you with your "financial health." Share us with your family and friends. My staff is expanding to serve you.

We provide employee benefits to many companies and non-profit organizations. This includes group coverages for health, dental, life and disability insurances, as well as pension and retirement plans. I appreciate those business referrals you provide.

May this year bring you joy, happiness and many warm memories.

Winter, 1999
Focal Points for Busy People

Remember 1978? Jimmy Carter was President. A first class stamp cost 13 cents. How much were you making then? Today that same first class stamp costs 33 cents. My dad retired in 1977. Today he makes triple what he earned before retirement. Do you have a plan for tripling your income in your retirement?

In 1997, author and investment manager, Jason Zweig made a very timely comment. "If I could give you only one piece of financial advice it would be this: Spend less time studying your investments and more time studying yourself. That's because how much money you make in an investment often depends far more on how you behave than on how the investment does."

What will a first class postage stamp cost in 2020? How are you planning on tripling your retirement income? How is your behavior going to change in the New Year?

FYI for the year 2000:

  • The Salary Deferral Limits for a 401K, 403(b) and SAR-SEP increases from $10,000 to $10,500.
  • The minimum earnings for a SEP go from $400 to $450.
  • The base limit for social security wages goes from $72,600 to $76,200.

May the New Year bring you blessings, joy and inner satisfaction. You are wonderful. One of the greatest compliments I have received is your referral of my services to your family and friends. Thank you so very much.
